With nearly 20 years in pharmacy and managed care, he is a recognized thought leader who keeps a close pulse on emerging strategies to strengthen pharmacy benefit programs. Mike works closely with clients to translate a fast-changing market into practical decisions that improve financial performance, clinical quality, and member experience.

• Health Plan Pharmacy Benefit Strategy and Consulting: Leads a team that advises health plans on managing total drug trend, improving affordability, and delivering high-quality, competitive pharmacy offerings
• PBM Procurement and Contracting Innovation: Negotiates and implements pharmacy benefit agreements, including alternative and modular operating models that increase transparency, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen financial leverage
• Specialty and Medicare Program Design: Designs specialty drug management strategies across medical and pharmacy benefits and supports Medicare formulary, network, and quality initiatives that improve outcomes for members

Professional Background

Before joining PSG, Mike held pharmacy leadership roles at a regional Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, where he managed Medicare formulary strategy and clinical quality programs and served as a primary contact with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. His earlier experience includes clinical operations roles with two of the nation’s largest PBMs and work as a community pharmacist. Mike is an active voice in the industry, sharing insights on emerging pharmacy trends.
