Helen Liu, PharmD, RPh

Helen Liu has over 29 years of experience combining clinical, operations, technology, and management in various healthcare system settings. Prior to joining PSG, Helen worked at ATRIO Health Plans as the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations where she was responsible for implementing P&T Committees and Part B Prior Authorization/Step Therapy Programs, conducting formulary analyses supporting actuary Medicare annual bid submissions, developing strategies to optimize patient care and enhance Star quality measures, and creating policies and procedures to meet CMS regulations, such as those for insulin B vs D, hospice, and transplant drugs.

She also served as the Regional Assistant Director (Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers) at Kaiser Permanente, where she led the regional hospital/ASC Drug Utilization Action Team; identified, coordination, and implemented new clinical initiatives on clinic-administered medications for hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and home infusion/oncology clinics; and evaluated formulary through consulting medical staff related to utilization and safety use of medications. Helen also served in clinical consulting roles at HealthPlus of Michigan, Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, and Henry Ford Hospital.

She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Ferris State University, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University, completed General Residency Training at Detroit Medical Center and AHIP Minority Management Fellowship. She also earned a LEAN/Green Belt Training Certification and participated in the ASHP Leadership Program at Boston University.
