Jared Tate, PharmD

Jared has more than 18 years of experience with pharmacy benefits, medication therapy management (MTM),  and PBM operations. Prior to PSG, Jared was Manager of Pharmacy Clinical Operations for Premera Blue Cross, where he provided direct supervision of staff members with accountability for general health plan pharmacy and PBM operations including specialty pharmacy, product builds/testing, IT and data governance, and utilization management. Jared began his career with Premera as a PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Resident, completing monthly rotations in several aspects of managed care pharmacy including  Medicare, pharmacy operations, client consulting, case management, specialty pharmacy, pharmacoeconomics, and association management. Jared also served as a Scientific Review Committee Member for Arizona Center for Education and Research on Therapeutics, where he maintained a free-to-public database of drugs that prolong QT interval and conducted pharmacovigilance for cardiac event signals. While obtaining his Pharmacy degree, he was the MTM Provider & Program Manager for The University of Arizona Medication Management Center, supervising and training intern staff. Jared earned a Bachelor of Arts, Italian, from Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Arizona. Jared also is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and was the Founding Chapter President at University of Arizona. In addition, Jared has co-authored several pharmacy-related publications and presented at industry events.
