Melissa Ruddle has more than 17 years of clinical experience in a variety of specialty areas in hospital pharmacy. Prior to joining PSG, Melissa was a Clinical Pharmacist for St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, where she specialized in obstetrics, neonatology, anticoagulation, and cardiology. She also served as a primary preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. Melissa was actively involved in numerous hospital committees, serving as the lead pharmacist representative on the Obstetrics Evidence-Based Practice Team, Vaccines for Children Program, Preeclampsia Task Force, and Anticoagulation Process Improvement Team to name a few. She has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams and serving as an advocate for the most evidence-based and cost-effective approach to patient care. She has developed and implemented many health system wide protocols and guidelines. Prior to working for St. Luke’s, she was a Clinical Pharmacist for Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation. In addition to her clinical role, she led the hospital’s anticoagulation committee, medication safety team, and medical education development.
Melissa earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas. She went on to complete an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency and is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS). She is a licensed pharmacist in Kansas, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
