Implementation Support
PSG has extensive experience assisting clients with a successful implementation process. Each PSG team assigned to support our clients consists of individuals with experience in all aspects of pharmacy benefits. Our staff includes those that have worked for PBMs in such areas as pricing, analytics, clinical programs, and customer service as well as working for plan sponsors in plan management.
The following support items summarize our implementation assistance:
- Overall project management support.
- Review materials (e.g., open enrollment materials, booklets) written by the client or PBM for content, appearance, compliance, and accuracy, and make recommendations for changes.
- Coordinate communications between contracted PBM, the client, and members.
- Monitor all key deliverables from the PBM to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Monitor vendor progress and assist with issue resolution.
- Provide advice on management report setup.
- Recommend reporting package content and frequency.
- Assist clients in determining utilization data needed and in what format.
- Provide guidance for requesting data.
- Monitor PBM to ensure delivery of data as requested.
- Provide independent analysis of utilization data.
- Provide recommendations for client actions based on data analysis.
- Provide advice on cost containment and clinical program selection.
- Set up mechanisms for measuring and monitoring performance of the PBM.
- Establish performance guarantees and method for measuring, evaluating, and reporting.
- Assist with developing finalized plan design elements, limits, coverage levels, etc.
- Review test claims to determine the accuracy of the setup of benefit design and program pricing elements.
